"Dearest Me Again" is a hit song by English language vocaliser John Newman. The song was released every bit a digital download in Europe on 17 May 2013, except for the United kingdom of great britain and northern ireland where it was released on xxx June 2013 every bit the lead single from his debut studio anthology, Tribute (2013). In an interview with Digital Spy, Newman was asked if he sensed that the song had something special about it in the studio. He said, "Yeah. The guy I wrote it with (Steve Booker), nosotros turned effectually and had massive grins on our faces thinking, 'There'south something practiced here'. But you lot merely never know how good it is, you lot know?".

Newman was likewise asked if it was hard to write the lyrics virtually dearest and break-up, he said, "No, information technology's the just place where I really open up to somebody, through my music. I'm producing [the anthology] and writing information technology, it's skillful. I like to keep a hold of everything".^[2]

With the chord progression of Gm—Bb—Dm—C, the song is written in the key of G Dorian. The primal signature is in D minor. Both are modes of F major, of which either i tin can be used as the tonic notation/chord, because, still, the F major chord is not present in the vocal.^[3]

Music video [edit]

Ii music videos, both with elements of Northern soul dancing, have been released for "Honey Me Again". One version^[4] directed by Vaughan Arnell is based on the classic love story of Romeo and Juliet.^[five] The woman in the video, Juliet, is French actress Margaux Billard, carefully watched over by her brother, Tybalt, played past Joseph Steyne. The Romeo, is British model Tommy-Lee Winkworth. This video ends in a cliffhanger every bit they go run over by a truck and their fate remains unknown till Newman'south follow-up single "Cheating", which starts with a newspaper article indicating that they had indeed survived the crash, which was a striking-and-run accident.

"Honey Me Again" was featured on the soundtrack of video game FIFA 14,^[8] giving it a cult status amongst FIFA fans, as well every bit the Federation's #WorldCupAtHome serial, which opened FIFA's archive during the COVID-nineteen pandemic. It as well appeared in the endmost credits of the 2014 scientific discipline fiction picture show, Edge of Tomorrow, starring Tom Prowl and Emily Blunt. The vocal was also featured on the American TV series, Suits in the episode, "Buried Secrets", which aired on 6 March 2014, and in the opening scenes of the first episode of season 4, "One-2-Three Go", which aired xi June 2014. "Love Me Once more" is too a playable song in Just Trip the light fantastic toe 2015. The song was as well used as the theme to the goggle box show Whiskey Cavalier which debuted in February 2019 and concluded in May afterwards 1 flavor.^[9] In August 2020 and May 2021 it was used in TV and radio adverts for National Rail.

The French channel TF6 as well used this song to shutdown its channel.
